Joe Fournier - Rick Taylor - Jay Riehl - Richard Miron

This cool new thing we call Dashboard Rattle is everything roots. A smash-tastic hybrid of original Blues, Swamp, Garage, Rock ‘n Roll, Americana, Soul, Alt-Country, Singer-Songwriter jams. But above all else, a kicking mutha-for-ya guitar BAND! Songs and instruments in an all-for-one collaboration. It’s the heart, soul and experience of four eccentrically talented artists, colliding into a sonic stew. Let’s just call it rock ‘n roll. Dashboard Rattle will be celebrating their first album release at London Music Club on February 2, 2019.

Joe Fournier

Joe Fournier simply plays roots music – country soul, folk, rockabilly and blues – with stories that will make you laugh, cry and cringe, sometimes all in the same verse.  A genuine eye for detail and storytelling that doesn’t get in the way of a decent riff, with “lyrics as sharp as a broken beer bottle” and delivered with a direct personal vocal style and driving rhythm and slide guitar.

Rick Taylor

Long regarded as one of Canada’s finest finger- style guitarists, Rick Taylor brings a high level of energy to the stage. A 50 plus year veteran of the guitar, Rick cut his teeth on early delta blues, folk, and rock music. He has been a featured artist on numerous TV and radio shows, main stage festivals, concert halls and clubs. Rick is the recipient of the Jimmy Lewis “Life Time of the Blues Award” and 3 time winner of The Great Lakes Blues Society “Road To Memphis” competition. With 3 solo CD’s to his credit, as well as a featured guitarist on Borealis Records “Six Strings North of the Border Vol.3”, Rick’s 2010 release “Lucky Room” garnered numerous international rave reviews, receiving heavy international airplay, and charting for 75 weeks on Roots Music Report Blues, peaking at #10 in USA and at #3 in Canada.

Jay Riehl

A love for drumming commenced at the early age of two for Jay Riehl; kickstarting his impressive music and producing career. Jay’s Grandmother Adela, a lifelong musician, nurtured Jay’s musical ambitions and encouraged him to expand his interests to a multitude of genres.  Jay’s impressive playing of drums, bass and vocals at the same time are complimented by his vast knowledge of producing, and that led to the creation of his successful recording studio in Stratford, Ontario called “The Swamp.” During that time Jay was awarded 5 Gold and 5 Platinum Status Records. In addition to making records and touring globally, Jay has worked with Justin Bieber, Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Brian Dennehy, Tommy Hunter, Steven Page, The Stratford Festival, Discovery Channel, Bravo, Paul Gross, Simon Callow, Hotel California, The Creators, djkillers, John Landry, Jim Witter and Farmer’s Daughter, to name only a few.  Jay currently produces everything from jingles, post production, and demos, to radio friendly records. Jay has recently opened “The Coop Productions”, A full on video capture and editing company.

Richard J. Miron

Richard was only 8 yrs old when he was introduced to and fell in love with the guitar and later the electric bass and upright bass. Inspired by an eclectic array of styles and players including Glen Campbell, Ray Brown, Stanley Clark, Alvin Lee and Ry Cooder to name just a few, Richard was committed to practice and the evolution of his own style. His French Canadian heritage also had a huge influence on his musical appreciation and commitment. . Since returning to the London music scene, Richard has played in several bands playing a variety of styles of music and built a body of work with 4 albums to his credit. Richard’s latest project with Dashboard Rattle has been his most artistically satisfying work.
